reVessel is on a mission to eliminate human and environmental exposures to toxins by better sourcing, designing and advocating to empower consumers across the globe with safer alternatives. Scientists have discovered over 12,000 chemicals alone in the packaging used to prepare, wrap, store, serve and transport food. Some such classes of chemicals are known as bisphenols (BPA, BPS), PFAS, phthalates and styrene to name a few which can migrate into food and are linked to reproductive toxicity, infertility, endocrine disruption, immune dysfunction and cancers to name a few. Scientists believe that inadequate studies have been performed and regulation is lagging behind data, which poses a hidden health threat to unknowing consumers. As a result of the dependence on plastic, microplastics have been discovered in produce and food, animals, human placenta and virtually every part of the planet. We believe that prioritizing better options, we can shift demand away from factories where these products are manufactured, and later disposed into the environment, to protect humans and the planet for future generations. reVessel is proud to champion the movement. BPA FREE
The ring hardware is made of BPA-free polypropylene. This material was chosen for its strength and rigidness, an important factor for the leakproof clamp. While this material is BPA-free, we are always looking to advance the plastic free movement and are currently innovating to reduce dependency on petrochemical derived materials, replacing them with durable and sustainable materials that can perform at the highest level.
3RD PARTY TESTED
While we run our own quality control checks in-house, we also involve an industry-recognized third-party to ensure there is no bias or skewing of results. For instance, we use a 3rd party lab to provide test results on material composition of our steel, silicone, bamboo and ring hardware to make sure our quality claims are true.
CONSCIOUS PACKAGING
We use plastic-free / minimal, yet effective packaging to ship your products. These boxes can be reused, composted or recycled. In addition, our manufactures also ship to our warehouse using paper and cardboard spacers instead of the typical plastic. These practices help reduce our impact on the environment and overall carbon footprint. We consider this a win for our company, for you and the planet!
